Nestled atop the Reyim Ahuvim shul will be a space of warmth, camaraderie and torah learning. The brand new Bais Medrash, Beis Hillel, is set to open very soon on Carroll Street and Schenectady Avenue and will provide a haven of Torah to the Anash who live nearby.
The Beis Hillel bais medrash is being dedicated in memory of Reb Hillel Katzman A"H, a beloved member of the Anash community who devoted his entire life to learning and was always seen with a sefer in his hands. The Bais Medrash is also dedicated in memory of his great-grandson Hillel, who tragically passed away as an infant.
The Bais Medrash will be undergoing extensive renovations to turn a former apartment into a sacred space where men can pop in for a shiur, a chavrusa, or even to just crack open a sefer, leave the mundane world behind, and journey in the world of Torah for a few hours on a regular Wednesday evening.
Bais Hillel invites the community to participate in this endeavor to increase in light and positivity within our neighborhood by contributing to the Shuchunah's Bais Medrash Campaign.
Their goal is to raise $100,000 to finance the renovations and turn the empty hall into a warm and welcoming space filled with every sefer that a person might need.
